Dropping the Speedo Booms!

Hey everyone, I had a great opportunity to visit the PASA swim team in Nor Cal the other day. But it wasn’t just an ordinary visit… I surprised the entire team with the new Speedo Booms Footwear Collection, a boot for the girls and a canvas slip on for the guys.

My day as Grand Marshal

On February 23, 2012, I had the opportunity to serve as Grand Marshal at the Gatorade Duel at Daytona Beach Speedway. It was such a great feeling to come home! I saw some old friends and had the chance to meet a lot of the drivers like Kurt and Kyle Busch. It was such a cool opportunity to start the race and to ride over 100 mph on the track in the pace car! Thank you to Gatorade and to all my fans for your support! Jeah!!

A different kind of “work”

Last week I got to go to Pasadena for a Speedo catalog photo shoot. This was definitely a different kind of "work" compared to everything in the pool. It was a fun environment and I thoroughly enjoyed working with everyone on the staff. I joined up with Ryan Lochte, Christine Magnuson, and Jessica Hardy for some quality camera time. Hi from Shanghai!

It's been so much fun here! There are thousands of people in the stands, music, cheerleaders, and lights. It's really exciting! I swam my first event (the 1500 free) two nights ago. In prelims I was pretty nervous. I always get anxious before my first event. You just don't know how it's gonna go but I was really happy with my swim. It was my best prelims time and most importantly I had a lane for finals.
